software to the Fragrance, Flavour and Ingredient industries. They are seen as an important resource by their customers, not just for software and support, but also for regulatory and technical support.
The Goal
Formpak was developing a completely new version of their software and wanted to ensure that could meet the challenges faced by their customers whilst being as user friendly and intuitive as possible. A high level of customer focused input and interaction at an early stage of new product development would be essential to produce the best possible software solution.
The primary goal was to review the software on an ongoing basis during development, helping make sure it was customer focused and friendly. Another was to collate comprehensive data about ingredients, formulations and regulations in order to facilitate testing the system during development.
Orchadia & Formpak
Penny Williams had a long history using Formpak Software in Regulatory and Perfumery roles in an international fragrance house. It was helpful that she and Tim Schneider (Formpak Managing Director and Software Designer) already knew each other.
The association between Formpak and Orchadia was a long one, ultimately so successful that Penny became permanently involved with Formpak. The initial goals remain with many more added in the marketing and business development areas.
